Your Own Story (final copy)
Due October 4th in class. We will submit final copies in class using Google Drive. There will be no need to print your assignment beforehand.
Formatting Specifications:
12 point Times New Roman or Arial
Double-spaced with no extra spacing between paragraphs
Name, date, period in top left corner (also double-spaced)
1 inch margins
if handwritten:
ink
white out (no scribbling out)
neatly written
only write on one side of the paper
Content Specifications:
Common theme is evident throughout (30pts)
Future is positive and written in past tense (10pts)
Well written – proofreading is evident (20 pts)
Creative and given your best effort (20 pts)
Typed correctly/Written neatly (20 pts)
Excerpt Instructions
Choose an excerpt (small portion) of your paper.
Maybe an inspirational sentence or a part that is special to you. It needs to be important, specific to your paper and proofread.
It doesn't need to be long. A sentence will do fine. Three words might even work if they are good words.
Make it beautiful.
Use Wordle (wordle.net) or Paint or Word or some other program to make it visually pleasing. Make sure the words are understandable when you make it beautiful.
If you want to do this without using the computer, you may.
This excerpt will be the only portion of your paper that is going to be public, so don't share any secrets here.
